Award-winning journalist

Um-E-Aymen Babar is an award-winning multilingual sports journalist, commentator and presenter.

Um-E-Aymen won the Hugh Cudlipp Journalist Award 2022 for her debut piece in Wisden and was named the NCTJ Sports Journalist of the Year Award in 2023 for her exclusive in The Telegraph writing about how women were affected by cricket’s racism scandal. Her work has appeared in BBC Sport, The Telegraph, Wisden, The Times and more.

In 2022, Um-E-Aymen was awarded the inaugural Chelsea FC Foundation x BCOMS scholarship to study for her NCTJ after graduating from the University of Cambridge.
